Cold , wet and windy 1st Silver Match

It was great to get the matches going again for this Year with the 1st match being the Silver MatchBig smile

After Thursday Match I thought this was going to be a tricky Match and needed to scale down lines and Hooks to get a bite

Great to see a good turnout for the 1st match with 8 Members on time ready for the draw

Would of been more if the weather was good so thats hope the weather is good on the next one Wink
but fair Play to everyone Clap

This is how the draw went

Justin – end of Small lake
Andy – Reids Large lake
James – Peg 1 Large Lake
Kurtis - Middle Small Lake
Stuart Middle of Small Lake
Ray – End of Small Lake
Dave – Bowl Large Lake
Lynn – Small Lake




With the rain coming down all Day and the wind picking up I was soaked before we all get started

The Fishing was very slow and had to chop and change baits all the way in the match

I couldn't see what the others was doing as I managed to put my day shelter up with the help of Paul around me which ended in the Lake at the end of the match due to the Wind

All I saw was Kurtis Pole Elastic Shot out as he hooked into a nice Carp but sadly lost the fish

We all finished the match early at 2.30 due to the weather and lack of fish

End Result

Myself 6 ½ 0z plus Biggest fish Baby Chub

Kurtis 1.5 0z

Rest – Blanked


That leaves me to say a big well done Clap to everyone that fished the match in this weather Today as it was not nice
