Coking Farm Long Lake Doubles Matchposted on 9 July 2012 | posted in Articles / NewsHi All A quick report for this weekend just gone as a few of you know that myself and Simon was fishing the pairs match at Coking Farm Long Lake  Early start with Paul picking us up at 5.45am as Paul and Andy was fishing woodlands lake while the match was going on going for the Cats not the best of starts as Si's Alarm didnt go of  , so we left and Si maded this own way to the lakes arrived at 7.30 am , a quick look around the lakes as this was the 1st time we have been to the lakes , then back to the fishing hut for the draw , we ended up with peg 3 which was my 3rd choice so not bad  As I walked out the hut si pulled in the car park so that made me feel a bit better Andy helped Quickly with the bivvy as it was raining very hard then in the rain set up and all ready for 10am start Photo of my peg  So it was a Tricky start as trying to work out the lake , rigs , locations , bait ect but still managed to catch a few 8 hrs into the match lots of others was catching plenty around the lake but we was just about working out the bait , locations and rigs to catch them Then every few hours we managed to catch a few , went in stages 2 or 3 very quick bites In the Night It really rained very hard , Not the best of fishing condition's in anyone's book but kept working at it Here a Photo of the 13lb 10 oz ghosty  I am not going to say to much about the rigs , Bait , Loctions as we are in the final in 3 weeks and hoping it will still do the job for us  All I can say is that myself and Si worked our socks of for this match and it paid of and could of ended up with a much bigger weight if we fished the lakes before and found out what we know now plus we lost a lot of fish But very happy with the result Here are the results 1st Kev Robus Dan Mackenzie with 254.10 2nd simon tarrant and justin nailor 218.10 3rd Barrie Jones and ade ray 171.11 4th Marcus Parker and hayden crocker 169.10 5th Chris Roberts and steve lovell 119.9 6th Jason Dunne and Jacob Dunne 93.2 7th paul anstis and dale welch 91.9 8th dave bellew and Marcus Clarke70.8 Plus here is the line up for the Final LINE UP FOR THIS YEARS PAIRS FINAL ON LONG LAKE DAVE BOWDEN AND KARL PALMER SAM BUCKLEY AND RICHARD BUTLER JAMIE LONDORS AND BILLY FLOWERS JASON NOWELL AND DARREN NOWELL JASON MILLS AND TREVOR GODDARD DARRON STYLES AND PETER WILLIAMSOM KEV ROBUS AND DAN MCKENZIE SIMON TARRANT AND JUSTIN NAILOR AND THE WILD CARD GOES TO NIGEL KNIGHT AND NEIL EDMONDSON FOR THE BIGGEST FISH 14LB 10OZ MIRROR ... THE FINAL WILL BE HELD ON THE 4TH 5TH AUGUST ON LONG LAKE ,DRAW 8AM IN THE SHOP ON THE 4TH AND THE MATCH WILL FINISH 2PM ON THE SUNDAY PRIZE MONEY £1000 TO THE WINNERS £500 TO 2ND PLACE AND £300 FOR 3RD ALONG WITH TROPHIES FOR THE TOP 3 Really looking forward to the Final , Just hope we get a good Draw Justin |
