Carp Match 1 ( 48hr) 2011posted on 8 March 2011 | posted in Articles / NewsHi All A quick report on how the 1st Carp Match went With the weekend being a cold one at Night , This was going to be a very hard Match as the water Temp was very cold and with eastly Winds again on the cards It may be a Blank for us All  With the Draw on Time for Once and with 5 of us ready to go it was time to pick out the Hat And Yes I was 1st out of the Hat  Makes a change so Picked Peg 1 on the Large Lake as I could back the van to it  So with a new Bivvy in the Van The Tarkker Crossfire I wanted to got it up Quicky before It got dark and Guess what , one of The Pole snapped  So not a good start but managed to do a temp repairRods out for 9 hours  and No Bites But managed to Land one early hours , then 5 mins later 2nd one In , then a few hours later But that was it for the rest of the match  Here are the results Me - 1st 13lb 3 Fish and Biggest 8lb 8 oz Joe - 2nd 12lb 4 oz 3 fish Andy 3rd - 1 Fish 7lb 10 0z Ghosty But also Landed one of the Sturgen Micky - No Fish Raymond - No Fish So A great start for me on the League But full credit again to everyone who fished the match as It was very hard going Must Admit I was gald to get this one out the way as had no bites for the last 34 hours But really looking forward to the next one But did well for the Specimen hunt Common , Mirror and Linner More points for me and LeeLets try to get a full house next time Cheers Justin Also have to say that it was great to see so Many members coming down the lakes weekend , Right old laugh |
